“A favorable job or good income?”
My response to the incredibly common question: “Which is the key ingredient to make a success — a high salary or job satisfaction?”
Some individuals claim that it is indispensable to get a favorable job rather than acquire a livelihood. Others disapprove this opinion and believe that a good income gives prosperity. The following essay will discuss both views and provide a logical conclusion.
Following significant changes in business patterns, the situation where members of society search for a better employment seems to have become more common. Some research and evidence indicate that people tend to realize themselves. For example, according to Maslow’s theory “hierarchy of needs” individuals go through the levels such as the physiological needs, the needs for safety and security, the needs for love and belonging, the needs for esteem, and finally come to the need to actualize the self. Therefore, to get an enjoyable job is a crucial aspect of our life and nobody can deny that it is exceedingly difficult to replace this. Besides, people who overly enjoy their time in working field will consider their jobs as something which they love to do so because it is supported by the environment. It can increase their motivation in finishing the workloads and as a result lead to career growth.
However, some experts who believe that large salary can make people’s lives better or even bring them happiness may deem the previous viewpoint questionable. Highlighting the argument, it could be said that humans have a number of responsibilities and should fulfil their needs such as paying bills, purchasing food, technical devices, they are also involved in the activities like education, courses and surely, they use the variety of social services. For example, curing in a hospital or in a health-resort leads to high expenses. Therefore, the quality work should be paid in the same way in order to provide the employee with the variety of services. On the other hand, people can spend money without thinking. Nowadays, consumerism is the most common negative aspect of our life that can lead to the environmental problems as well. Nevertheless, it is necessary to take into account all the details of each individual case.
In conclusion, from my point of view, the former opinion is definitely persuasive. I believe that it is more important to have a job you enjoy if you can afford it. In my view, most people need less money than they think because they waste a lot on buying things they do not need. Needless to say, you can get a good pay but if you are not happy there’s no point to it. The most important thing is to follow your dreams through without changing your mind.
